Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage has many benefits that help support the body's natural process. It is a light, gentle, rhythmic technique that is applied without the use of oils or lotion to manually move the lymph fluid around the body. The goal is to reduce inflammation, eliminate waste, improve circulation, and support the immune system.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage is most beneficial when someone is dealing with swelling or fluid build up, often after surgery, injury, or a condition like lymphedema. It can also be helpful for people dealing with chronic conditions that cause fluid retention.

• Supports the immune system.
• Helps manage Lymphedema.
• Used to treat post-surgical recovery - promote healing, and help reduce scar tissue.
• Improve circulation.

It’s always best to consult with a qualified massage therapist or health care professional to discuss any specific concerns or conditions before starting any new treatment.
With client participation, together we will prioritize a focused area that has pain and/or limited mobilities to lessen pain, improve range of motion, flexibility, and overall function using a combination of Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, and Active Modulation Therapy.
Trigger Point Therapy focuses on relieving tight areas within your muscles, known as Trigger Points.
Trigger Points are hyperirritable spots in the muscle tissue, often referred to as "knots". These points are sensitive to pressure and can cause pain in other areas of the body, a phenomenon called referred pain. Trigger Points can develop due to muscle overuse, stress, or injury. Trigger Point Therapy involves applying sustained pressure to these points to release tension, improve blood flow, alleviate discomfort, and improve muscle function.
Deep Tissue Massage is a type of therapeutic massage that focuses on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Slow techniques using elbows, forearms, and knuckles are used to target chronic patterns of tension and adhesions in the muscles.
Myofascial Release is a type of therapy that focuses on relieving tension in the Fascia and Connective Tissue. This technique involves gentle, sustained pressure to the Fascia and Connective Tissue without oils or lotions to help release tension and improve movement.
Active Modulation Therapy involves the client participation during the session by actively moving their muscles and joints, and providing feedback to the therapist while the therapist performs soft tissue mobilization and manipulation, creating neurological changes to promote healing, improve functional movement, and increase body awareness.
*Regular sessions can improve overall muscle function and flexibility.
Restorative Therapy also known as Ortho-Bionomy® is a non-invasive, osteopathically-based form of body therapy which is highly effective in working with chronic stress, injuries, and pains or problems associated with postural and structural imbalances. Ortho-Bionomy® focuses on gentle movements and positioning that help the body self-correct while working with the body's natural reflexes. The goal is to relieve pain, release tension, and promote overall balance and wellbeing. Regular sessions are recommended.
*This treatment is great for young adults who play sports.
Before the session:
- Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing to allow full range of motion.
- Remove all jewelry and hair accessories.
- Avoid stimulants such as caffeine and sugar if possible and come well hydrated.
What to expect during a session:
- The treatment is performed while the client is fully clothed.
- Practitioner works with you to identify areas of discomfort, tension, and pain as well as areas of discomfort and ease of movement.
- Gentle movements, comfortable positioning, brief compressions and subtle contacts are used. No forceful movements or pressures are employed.
- Each session is specifically designed for each individual. Your practitioner will rely on your verbal feedback to fine tune movements which best facilitate your body's return to natural alignment.
What to expect after the session:
- You may feel immediate relief and a sense of energy and well-being.
- Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and refresh the body.
- Some reactions are normal after the session. This is a sign that the body is beginning to respond by releasing congestion in the system and working to recalibrate to a more balanced and efficient set point.
- Committing to regular sessions over time builds upon the previous session to allow the body to release stagnation in the system and allow the body to move toward a more balanced state.
Restorative Therapy Benefits:
• Eliminate Pain
• Accelerate Healing
• Structural Balancing
• Relaxation
• Stress Related Symptoms
• Nervous System Regulation
• Promotes overall well-being
• Plantar Fasciitis
• Joint Alignment
• Chronic Pain
Elements of Thai Massage, Ashiatsu, and Myofascial Release are blended together to support both physical and emotional healing.
Thai Massage brings movement and mobility to the body through rhythmic compression and assisted stretching, opening up energetic and structural pathways.
Ashiatsu, preformed with bare feet, allowing for deep, broad pressure that can access layers of tension without overwhelming the nervous system.
Myofascial Release is often done with no oil, allowing for deliberate friction to target connective tissue and unwind chronic patterns of holding.
All of these techniques work in harmony to soften restrictions, improve circulation, and restore a sense of ease and alignment in the body.
Myofascial Release is a type of therapy that focuses on relieving tension in the Fascia and Connective Tissue. When the Fascia gets tight or stiff, it can cause pain and restrict movement. Myofascial Release involves gentle, sustained pressure to the Fascia and Connective Tissue without oils or lotions to help release tension and improve movement. It is often used to help with chronic pain or after injuries.
What is Fascia?
Fascia is a thin layer of Connective Tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, organs and other structures in the body. It's like a web that holds everything together. Fascia helps with movement by providing a smooth surface for muscles to glide against each other. When it's healthy, Fascia is flexible and moves easily, but when it's tight or damaged, it can cause stiffness and pain.
What is Connective Tissue?
Connective Tissue is a type of biological tissue that supports, connects, or separates different parts of the body. It includes things like bones, tendons, ligaments, and Fascia. It's main job is to give structure and support to the body. It also helps protect organs and plays a role in transporting nutrients and waste. Connective Tissue is found throughout the body and is essential for overall function and movement.
